Kindergarten is an exciting milestone for your child and for you! This 2 year program provides engaging, inquiry and play-based learning during the regular school day.

The program helps children develop their physical, social, emotional, and cognitive development as they transition from their home, child care, or preschool environment! All Kindergarten programs in Ontario are full-day, as of September 2014.

Kindergarten Registration

Advanced Kindergarten registration for children in Year 1 (Junior Kindergarten) or children new to their school in Year 2 (Senior Kindergarten) took place on: Tuesday, January 23 & Wednesday, January 24, 2018.

Parents are encouraged to contact their home school directly for Kindergarten registration, start dates and times. To determine your home school, use our School Finder Tool.

Parents may register their child(ren) who will be 4 years of age by December 31, 2018 in the first year of the 2-year Kindergarten program.

Registration forms are available at each elementary school. Completed applications and appropriate documentation can be submitted to your home school, beginning at the advanced registration dates in January of the year that your child will be starting the program.

Your application must include the following documents (required):
