Kindergarten Program

The Kindergarten program establishes a strong learning foundation for 4 and 5 year old children in their early years. The program helps children develop their physical, social, emotional, and cognitive development as they transition from their home, child care, or preschool environment!

All Kindergarten programs in Ontario are full-day, as of September 2014.

Kindergarten Registration

Parents are encouraged to contact their home school directly for Kindergarten registration, start dates and times. To determine your home school, use our School Finder Tool.

Parents may register children who will be four years of age by December 31, 2018 in the first year of the two-year Kindergarten program. Registration forms are available at each elementary school. Completed applications and appropriate documentation can be submitted to your home school, beginning at the advanced registration dates in January of the year that your child will be starting the program.
